Aurélien, Pierre & Pascal
Emblematic grower from the Côte des Bars, Aurélien Gerbais, goes on with the family endeavor started 7 generation ago on this Kimméridgien terroir. No other family knows this Southern Champagne appellation close to Burgundy as well as they do.
Double Influence, double culture of Excellence… Aurelien and his father Pascal are steeped into it: Commitment to clean viticulture, maximum risks taken searching for grapes maturity, precision wine making with the least intervention and additives possible.
Talking to the Gerbais family is like embracing Champagne History. Each generation has contributed to build an exceptional vineyard of 17 hectares made of “selection massales” (mother plots) reflecting the complexity of the place. We can find on their property the oldest Pinot Blanc vineyard planted in 1904.
This unique patch work allows this family to make great, expressive, tactile, pure and precise blended Champagnes.
Grower champagnes are handcrafted wines far away from industrial standard taste. Those six cuvées are a perfect introduction to their philosophy. Enjoy a variety of nuances, taste, textures and identities!En savoir plus
