Huré Frères

300

François and Pierre run this family estate located in the Northern Slopes of the Reims Mountain in Ludes. The project has been founded by their father and uncles in the 70’s and now the two brothers oversee what has become a major player domaine in only two generations.

This humble and hardworking duo embodies a new generation of “Vignerons” who have been able to study, reinforce their technical and human skills while opening themselves towards other wine regions domestically and abroad. François and Pierre Huré are very conscious about transmission and moral duty (Champenois and Burgundian heritage) but they are also inhabited by present time and the will of writing a new chapter pushing the quality boundaries of Champagne.

Their goal is to make precise champagnes with character representing their terroirs of origin. The respect of Natural Life and balance is a perquisite, determining the notion of TASTE.
Huré Champagnes are well balanced, showing intense aromas, combined with rich textures, density, energy, deepness and freshness.
The end of mouth lingers thanks to a salinity touch calling for food.
Their ambition is to show that the Champagne region can produce great wines. The Huré family definitely rises to the challenge.

    Cuvée 4 éléments Meunier
  • The « 4 éléments » concept contrasts with the blended Huré Frères cuvées. « 4 éléments » propose a single variety, a single parcel, a vintage only approach, an identity … Made 100% from Meunier “La grosse pierre” parcel in Ludes from a 65 year old vineyard. Vintage 2014 Fermentation and aging in 600 liter barrel. Elegant and pure Champagne showing subtle citrus fruits notes. Remarkable mineral tension on the palate with a salty finish calling for food. The aging on cork gives this cuvée more aromatic complexity and creaminess. Proposed in Extra Brut 3g/l

  • Mémoire

  • Huré Frères

    Cuvée Mémoire
  • Mémoire is a privilege. Privilege to converse with time and contemplate 30 years in a glass. This long term vision is mind blowing. It’s about a solera from 1982, a blend of 30 vintages until 2013. Mainly built around Pinot Noir and Meunier, this Champagne is an energy bubble: citrus notes gradually fade away to make way to roasting nuances. The oak barrel aging gives this wine fullness, vinosity and length. The spherical sensation on the pallet is subtle. There is no oxidation nor heaviness. Not more than 30 months in the cellar before disgorgement to keep freshness and drinkability. Extra Brut with 2g of sugar per liter.
