VP stands for Vieillissement Prolongé (Extended aging). The Grand Cru Terroirs where the grapes are grown are “ la crème de la crème” for Pinot Noir in Champagne. It gives this cuvée a tremendous potential for aging and reach perfection with time. 1/3 from 2007 harvest, 1/3 from 2008, 1/3 from 2009 which are great vintages. Bottled in 2010. Blend: 60% Pinot Noir & 40% Chardonnay. This cuvée shows Egly Ouriet’s know how and signature with a cuvée that spent more than 7 years in the cellar. The results translates into loads of fragrances and nuances combining power, elegance and sharpness. . Very low sugar levels (dosage) with as little as 2g/ litter. will be a good match with spice.
Blend: 100% Pinot Noir grown on an iconic Bouzy parcel planted in 1970. This cuvée is a true expression of Bouzy’s unique terroir. The meticulous tending of the vines along with a gentle, precise vinification makes for an exceptional cuvée. This Pinot Noir champagne has backbone while still retaining balance and freshness.

Blend: 80% Chardonnay - 20% Pinot Noir. 55-year old vines. Massal selection. Made from the “cœur de la cuvée”, the first 1,400 litres of the 2,050-litre first pressing or “cuvée”. Aged for 10 months in 228-litre oak casks that have already contained wine (not new wood). No malolactic fermentation. An extremely complex and harmonious wine.
Blend: 100% Pinot Meunier - Rive Gauche is made from grapes grown in a single parcel - “Maisonselle” (Mareuil le Port) - planted to Pinot Meunier in 1969 on the sandy clay soils of the Marne Valley. Slow fermentation in casks which have been used between 2 and 5 times previously. Bottled under natural cork and cellar-aged on the lees for 32 months. This Champagne drinks particularly well with charcuterie.
Blend: 94% Pinot Meunier (massal selection) - 2% Pinot Gris (massal selection) - 2% Chardonnay (massal selection). Spontaneous fermentation –malolactic fermentation depending on circumstances – Aged for 10 months in wood on full lees in different-sized casks (225 to 600 litres) made from different woods. Bottled using gravity. This truly unique wine with its distinctive character is vinified using the Burgundy method.
