Dehours & Fils

Jérôme Dehours is a man of conviction: respect of natural elements, their expression, the importance of details, history and passionate involvement give a soul to the wine…

Man of commitment and experience (he has been taking the reins of the family domaine as soon as 1996), Jérôme is also a man of vision by creating ‘Les Artisans du Champagne’, emblematic association of the ‘Printemps du Champagne’. He has been able to inspire and unite a generation of talented Champenois growers.

Like often in the Champagne region his vineyard is spread out. Not less than 42 parcels, mainly planted with Meunier, from the crus of Mareuil-le-Port, Oeuilly and Troissy. The vines are maintained respecting life. His quest for excellence leads him to work the soil mechanically while using the least possible chemical products.

All the reserve wines are brought up as a “solera” (principle of perpetual reserve) since 1998. While tasting the different cuvées including those reserve wines, you explore the domaine history.  Each year, the reserve welcome one more year, the young wines being brought up by the older ones.

The Dehours signature ranges from sapidity and fine well mastered oxidation. It gives body and heart.
